Unique Tassie Experiences Program: Freycinet Climbing Trip

Club trip to White Water Wall at Freycinet on the East Coast (3hrs from Hobz, 2.5 from Launie).
There’s plenty to climb and we’ll be setting up some top ropes on the real easy stuff on Lassie’s wall and or Second Ramp. Grades start around 12 There’ll also be some leaders able to take more experienced peeps out on multi-pitch.
Gear. We will bring the club trailer stocked with helmets, shoes and harnesses. Send me a message to make sure I bring your shoe size.
We’ll be camping at the White Water Wall camp site. Bring your own tent, sleeping bag, warm clothes for the evening, swimmers (for the true Tasmanians ), raincoat, camp chair, food, wine, beers, guitars etc…
There is a toilet onsite.
No water onsite. Bring some.
If you need something to cook on, bring it along, or organise with someone else to share a stove/bbq. If you only need to boil water, someone will help you out
Access to the climbing area is down a 4wd track that requires decent clearance and or somewhat creative driving. However if your car can’t make it in there you can leave it at the entrance and we’ll shuttle people and gear in and out

CAR POOLING: If you’d like a lift or have free seats in your car, post on the wall of this event and we’ll sort it out. Some people will head up Friday arvo/evening, some people Sat. Bring cash to help pay your driver for fuel. The crag is also in the national park so a PARKS PASS for every car is required.
