Free Cooking Classes, Community Lunches, and Gardening Workshops for Students

This initiative is to support UTAS students in learning how to nourish their bodies through their studies and beyond, through cooking, preserving and growing your own food!

You will leave with new skills, recipes, and tips. Best of all, you’ll have delicious fresh food to enjoy!

A wholesome free lunch for students and friends, made with food from the TUSA Food Hub and Source Garden! Join us in cooking from 10am or eating from 11:30am.

Get Nourished is FREE thanks to the support from Tasmanian Community Fund and The Tasmanian Government Healthy Tasmania Grant

$50,000 from The Tasmanian Community FundCommunity Action Grant in support of the Food Education project from 2024 – 2026.

$100,000 from The Tasmanian Government – Healthy Tasmania Fund for the expansion of the Food Hub to all Tasmanian Campuses – $10,000 of which is allocated to Food Education in Launceston and Burnie.
